Hey

Hope someone can help!

I've just recently acquired a 40gig Ps3 with uncharted and GT5.. which are cool games, but whilst playing them I have noticed a wobble occur.. I was thinking it might be my LCD (Samsung 37'' 1080p) but I have never noticed this happen whilst playing on the xbox 360.

Has anyone else ever noticed this?

A wobble?
Are you sure it wasn't a wiggle?
Then again, it could have been a jiggle....depending on whether your TV is female or not.:p

Sorry, I have no idea & I have never heard of this problem with any PS3 sku or any PS3 games.
Chances are its either the Tv or the connecion to the PS3 (lead).
But hang about, Im sure someone will have some idea whats going on. But just to be safe, contact your TV manufacturer or SONY(PS3) to see if they know what the issue could be. But check SONY last as they might tell you to send your PS3 in and that would cost you playing time.;)

cheers for the reply!hehe

hmmM

it's most noticeable when there is a lot of detail being displayed.. maybe my tv just can't handle the amount of info...

Not sure what you're trying to describe.

Does the picture sort os pause for a tiny amount of time and then start again? Or is it something else?

If it is the former, they're just framerate drops. Nothing you can do to stop those, it's the game's fault.

First off, how much had you had to drink???

I think that what you could be seeing is screen tear, can look lik a sort of 'wobble' at times.

I encounter this on COD4 at times.... its a reduction in Frame Rate... Nothing you can really do though :(

Never heard of these problems. Especially not with the specific games. Although, i have seen it happen on LCD Computer Screens whilst gaming...

I believe that is your ps3's flux capacitor attempting to transport you back to october 26th 1985, which apparently is causing your TV to wobble

You should:

1. turn down your subwoofer just like minimal said

2. contact sony/tv manufacturer

3. stop playing on a trampoline

You're probably on about screen tear (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_tearing)? I know Drake's suffers from it, can't say I've noticed it in GT5p, I've noticed framerate drops so it wouldn't surprise me if there was screen tear too. I look next time I'm on.

Nothing you can do but suffer.

thank you very much for the reply's!

Yes i guess it is a screen tear, parts of the screen stay in one place and the others moves slightly..

I find drake's suffers from it more than GT5p especially when you are in the jungle looking around, when there is a lot of detail.

You say that you don't notice it on your Plasma... interesting!

I wonder what is your refresh rate?

I think it might be an LCD thing...

I only get that if I've drank too many beers before playing a game. The worst part is when the room starts spinning around and then I cant shut off the game. lol

It could be the connection to your HDMI if its loose or isnt securely in it might mess the picture up cause it to wobble or jump. I havent experienced this at all so I really dont know what to tell you.
