I'm just watching this disc. The picture quality is tremendous. It has a very subtle grain which adds to the atmosphere of the setting while keeping the picture looking geogously pristine. I remember watching this at the cinema, and the distinctive colours have translated so well to the BD.

The TrueHD, which I'm sure is downscaled through my AMP still sounds absolutely amazing.

The content is also extensive with extras I have not even begun to look at.

But ultimately - the film is excellent, and it's a top class BD.

All good.

I watched a free copy and it sucked, I wouldn't suggest this film to an enemy.

Yeah I definitely didn't like it either. The worst part is I think I paid $8 to see it.

What a well thought out, reasoned response.

I was thinking about importing this one from xploited cinema.. But I don't wanna pay 40 dollars if it's release is not too far away. I hope Paramount announces their next round of movies soon...

I was not expecting Sweeny Todd to be out in the UK first.

I'm going to watch some of the extras tonight if I get the chance.

I got to enjoy the film last night, and will probably enjoy it again before long.

Got it in my post box for a couple of days ago. Now I'm just scared its a musical? Is it?

Yes - it is a full on musical - but not in the style of say "Oklahoma" it has a typically Tim Burton-esque feel to it with a deliciously dark atmosphere. The songs are delivered with wit and style.

And it's not just Depp doing his Jack Sparrow voice - it's significantly different.

If you like Burton's work, get this. If you like Depp's work - it is a must buy.
