I've got a 42" Plasma Ilo TV, with NO HDMI inputs. I'm running my DVR/Cable Box and PS3 from a Component Switcher.
PS3 playback is fine, however when I'm watching Regular DVD's, I have a problem. If I go into the Display settings and enable 480p and 720p, the DVD plays 16:9 and very dark. If I go and disable 480p, the DVD plays brighter and in 480i, but playing in 4:3.
I'm looking for a way to keep the 16:9 resolution but with more brightness. I'm not sure if there are settings (on my PS3 or TV) I need to correct. I'm sorry If I've confused anyone, I can try to explain better if need be.
