This thread is all about you (us including me ); please do not give anyone a hard time, this is just to find out more about each other. The main thing here is what consoles you've owned in the past.
I've been called a fanboy a couple of times when people don't even know where I come from (as far as gaming goes) so I thought I would start this thread where we talk about our past consoles, our favorite games, the game we hate the most ...
So I'll start:
I'm older than most gamers I guess, I'm 27 and getting older :suspect:, but I still love gaming.
My consoles: Atari, Genesis, Dreamcast, SNES, PS2, and now proudly the PS3 and the NDS, and of course, I've been playing arcades since they were first introduced. I sitll have my SNES and Dreamcast hookup to my TV.
I would have to say, my favorite game of all time is Super Mario; I love pretty much all of them Mario I, Mario 2, Mario 3, Yoshi's Island, the New Super Mario...
If I have to pick a game I hate I think from the top of my head I would pick Ridge Racer for the PS3, that game was so lame (this is my personal opinion btw), when I was supposed to be going fast it felt like I was driving a beetle.
Anyway, my favorite genre would probably be RPGs, particulary turn-based RPG, I like them mainly because it involves some strategy and thinking, not pure button-mashing. The first RPG I played which wasn't turn-based btw was Sword of Vermilion for the Genesis. Great game.
Unfortunately, going back to the age thing, I cannot play FPS anymore, I get dizzy :pale, I know, it sucks. I'll still give kz2 a chance though.

I'm older, but I haven't always had that much money. Early on I played Atari and NES at friends houses. These are the consoles I've owned in chronological order:
TRS80 Tandy Color Computer (the epitomy of gaming)
Super Nintendo
NES
Playstation
Playstation 2
Gameboy Advance SP
DS
PSP
Xbox 360
Wii
PS3
Gaming PC (had to throw that in there, just built my first one recently)
Also, I didn't technically own these; but my grandparents owned a bar and I had free access to a Black Knight pinball machine and Ms. Pacman when I was young.

I'm 22 and gaming is my life. If you cut me, I bleed polygons. I have actually sold blood once so I could buy my PSP when it came out. Here's what I have owned. Anything with a star next to it indicates I still own it.
Atari 2600*
Commodore
Intellivision*
Nintendo Entertainment System*
Super Nintendo Entertainment System*
Nintendo 64*
Nintendo Gamecube
Nintendo Wii*
Nintendo Gameboy*
Nintendo Gameboy Pocket*
Nintendo Gameboy Color
Nintendo Gameboy Advance
Nintendo Gameboy Advance SP
Nintendo DS*
Nintendo DS Lite*
Sega Genesis*
Sega Game Gear
Sega Saturn*
Sega Dreamcast*
Sony Playstation
Sony Playstation 2*
Sony Playstation 3*
Sony Playstation Portable*
Microsoft Xbox
Microsoft Xbox 360*
Some call me obsessed, but I like to refer to myself as enthusiastic. My fiancee thinks I lean more towards the obsessed side, though, since I would buy a new game rather than pay bills. I mean, I gotta game, right?

wow, now that's a lot of gaming; and here I was thinking I was cool.
Unfortunately I don't have as much time OR money to put into my games, besides, I'm very selective on what I like and don't like.
For instance, I didn't like HALO (I got it for the PC), I didn't like Jak and Dexter, didn't like Ninja Gaiden, ... well, to make it short, even God of War didn't get me going. Don't get me wrong, they are all good games, but just not what I like in a game.
I'll take prince of persia anytime, I like games that involve thinking. That's why I got echochrome and I love it. I hope they release a Tetris Online (and I hope I have good broadband by then) so that I can play online or at least have my record up there... I've always thought I'm good at tetris but having scores tracked at a more global level should probe me wrong... or right, who knows.

I'm 16 and, with my brother, have amassed a decent collection of games.
Sega Megadrive x2 (15 games) - First one given to me for free, second one bought for about £10.
Sega Dreamcast (10 games + many copies) - Bought as part of huge pack for £30.
Super Nintendo (10 games) - Given to me for free.
Nintendo 64 (15 games) - Bought for £10.
Nintendo Gamecube (10 games) - Bought for £20.
Nintendo Gameboy + Pocket (10 games) - Given to me for free.
Nintendo Gameboy Colour (10 games) - Bought in the 90's for maybe £70?
Nintendo Gameboy Advance SP (15 games) - Bought a few years back for about £70.
Sony Playstation (40 games) - Went through two of these, a normal and a slim. Own neither.
Sony Playstation 2 (40 games) - Went through three of these, two normal and a slim. Only have the slim today.
Sony Playstation 3 (12 games) - Bought last year for about £400.
Sony PSP (10 games + countless ISOs) - Bought nearly three years ago for £150.
Microsoft Xbox (10 games + many copies) - Swapped for a fat PS2 recently.
PC (infinite games) - I've kept all my games from the 90's and also have many stored digitally.
I also have many peripherals including 5 PS2 controllers, 3 steering wheels, a pair of bongos, and a network adaptor.
Hope to purchase an Xbox 360 sometime soon. I've been very lucky in regards to people giving me consoles, as you can see.

well i have been playing games since i was probably around five or so..haven't owned all the consoles but i've had my hands on a few.
NES- favorite game was probably either excitebike and mario
SNES- super mario world and donkey kong
PS1- metal gear solid and legacy of kain: soul reaver
PS2- all the grand theft autos
PS3- As of right now its a tie between MGS4, Warhawk, COD4, Oblivion, And Skate
360- For now its Gears of War, Mass Effect, And Halo 3
I've never been a huge gamer until i bought my ps3..i always spent alot of time playing video games but not the wide variety that i do today. the only reason i bought the ps2 was to get the grand theft auto games and its funny because thats the only reason i really wanted a ps3 too. But after buying a few games, i realized theres alot more to offer besides doing killing sprees in gta.
