Is anyone here a fan of the Office US??

I started watching it last year, i was curious to see the differences there were between this and the original version.

The first season was quite average, it tried too hard to copy the UK version of the show and thankfully it lasted only 6 episodes.

Somehow, someone managed to realise that they should be making it their own show and season 2 was absolutely fantastic and different from the UK series in alot of ways.

Michael Scott (Steve Carrel) is alot more tame and child-like in comparison to Ricky Gervais' character David Brent, and the more episodes obviously means more character development.

If you haven't watched it, go get to it! :p

I'm currently enjoying Season 4, although the last episode airs tonight in America until the new one after the Summer so i hope there's a cliffhanger somewhere.

I watched quite a bit of it, I still prefer the UK version, Ricky Gervais is irreplaceable, the whole format doesn't seem to click as well as the UK version.

Still, hilarious nonetheless.

Both versions aren't that funny, I just find then cringe worthy, especially Micheal and David Brent, The only thing that kept me watching the US version was Jims pranks, his relationship with Pam, Dwight annoyed me at first but grew on me.

Lol. It doesn't beat the UK Version in my opinion. Ricky Gervais is just amazing... He just brings the program to life. :)

PS The guy on the right/middle looks like Jimmy Carr XD

You mean Steve Carrel? From Bruce Almighty, Evan Almighty & 40 Year Old Virgin. I guess in the pose he does looks a bit like him.

I love the show, of the best shows on TV. It has this quality to it that TV shows have long lost and it's very funny in some episodes. The last episode of this season wasn't that funny, but I could see a deep plot dynamic with lots of twists.
