Universal Studios Home Entertainment has revealed the specs for the upcoming Blu-ray release of 'The Mummy (http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?id=825)', due to hit store shelves on July 22nd, a few weeks after the DVD re-release. The film, which has been digitally remastered, will be presented on a BD-50 with 2.35:1 1080p video and a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.

Extras include audio commentaries with the cast and crew, four featurettes ("Visual and Special Effects Formation", "An Army to Rule the World", "Building a Better Mummy", and "Unraveling the Legacy of the Mummy"), deleted scenes, and a storyboard comparison. Exclusive to the Blu-ray release will be Universal's "U-Control" in-movie experience and a picture-in-picture behind-the-scenes look into the making of 'The Mummy'.

Also included will be a sneak peak at the upcoming 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?id=828)' and movie ticket offer.

Thanks for the good news. Panned by critics(that's why I love NOT listening to them), this is one of my favorite movies, reminiscent of Uncharted. Hopefully the sequel follows suit.

Hopefully, as I really enjoyed both of those films. The trailer was released today for The Dragon Emperor, looks alright actually. I wasn't to sure about it but the trailer has me at least wanting to see it.
