The price is pretty cheap for a 42" full HD (AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS), is it because of the brand? or is it genuinely not good?

Most of the time big companies own these smaller companies and make it with 80% of the same parts! so there basically the same but without the badge.

The only thing I would wonder about is that the TV is listed as 1080P in the title and the top of the description......But as you read down it is only listed as 1080i and that the max input is 1080i. I don't want to start a i/p agruement, but if you want to buy a 1080p TV i would make sure its 1080p

Yeah, at the top it says, "106cm 1080P Full HD LCD TV 1920 X 1080P, X2 HDMI, USB".

They also don't mention anything about 480 resolutions. Maybe someone just forgot to put them in?

ok price i guess for full hd... however you can get a panasonic 42" 720p/1080i set now for $1399rrp

expect 40"+ full hd sets by mainstream brands under $2k in the next month or two if you want to wait
