I want to hook up my ps3 to my computer monitor because my parents don't want it hooked up to the upstairs TV. I have a music studio downstairs where my computer is and I have studio monitors hooked up to a Tascam US-1641 audio interface. That interface's inputs are mostly 1/4" balanced line inputs. I was wondering how I could go about getting the sound to go from the ps3 through that interface to my monitors. Any advice?

Can you take a picture of your Tascam, all the inputs and stuff? If it has a optical in, you could probably use that. If not then the analog cables have to work.

having limited knowledge of how that works here is what i would try....looks like its got a digital coaxial in and out....this might be your only hope honestly....get some sort of optical to digital coaxial converter like this one (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=29293&doy=7m3&C=SO&U=strat15)
I assume you already have this hooked up to speakers??....if not it could get sticky....

Yeah, looks like this is your best option. I'm not sure how its going to handle the audio to be honest. If it acts like a stereo or something, you should be fine.
