I'm into the Arnie films and used to read the comics when I was a kid, so after playing the demo and enjoying it, I bought the game...

STORY - Hyboria is a savage land but it is Conan's land. On his quest for adventure and gold he comes upon Balmoria, an island lost to the far western seas. There he finds a dark wizard named Graven, a man destroyed by his own desires, a man that would consume Hyboria to feed his own lust for power. His weapon is the Black Death, a plague that steals mens soul's. A'Kanna is a female warrior whose homeland and people were destroyed by Graven and will not stop until he is destroyed. But she cannot wield the weapon that will stop Graven, only Conan can do that.

The story is narrated to you by a character with scenes thrown in here and there to help you understand the history of certain events and the progression as you move forward throughout the game.

GRAPHICS - I did notice some patchy parts to this game but the environments were light well with some good detail to it. Dismembering your enemies is eye candy watching the blood spew out all over the place but what really is impressive is the boss scraps, these are truly massive and become a eye-popping experience. The cut scenes are decent and last but not least...BOOBIES!! 8/10

GAMEPLAY- As Conan defeats enemies, experience points are earned. You can then use these experience points in the Combat Abilities menu. Combate Abilites are divided into 3 sections: One-Handed Blades, Two- Handed Blades and Dual - Weild Blades. Each of these have there own attacks and counters in which you use the experience points to purchase them. The attacks themselves are easy to pull off through simple button mashing and you can create combos, the more combos you do your Song Of Death meter starts to fill up. Once this gets full Conan is able to impose more powerful attacks. Green, red and blue runes can also be collectd by smashing various objects in your environment.

Conan also has what is called Armor Power, throughout the game you collect pieces of armor, each with its own unique attack. You fill the AP meter bar by collecting blue runes, the attacks that you can use with your AP are good for killing multiple enemies and can help with bosses also. One thing that I find annoying with some games, most notably Spider-Man 3 was the use of this 'hit the button as fast you can when it pops up'crap!! Then you are lumbered with all these buttons that pop up and if you miss out by one milisecond, you have to start all over again. Well this is in Conan for the boss fights but thankfully it isn't as bad as SP3. One big thing that you will notice is that there is no camera control whatsoever, this did not become a bother at all. The way the environment and screen move together, you won't have any problems with camera issues or gameplay. The is no online play, this is strictly one player. 7/10

MUSIC - Nothing special here, just your run of the mill orchestral music, but it's not annoying and does not effect your gameplay. 7/10

OVERALL - I found the game to be very enjoyable and with the achievements available you wont have any problems playing it again to try to obtain them. Excellent testosterone filled, dismembering blood spewing gore with massive boss fights and last but not least....BOOBIES!! 8/10
