After watching a few movies lately I have noticed there are a couple of actors/actresses out now that really take on some challenging roles, some that are really method and give off some truly dedicated performances. After watching a couple of movies by these people I then look out either previous movies or upcoming releases that they will be in. Do you have any actors/actresses that you favor???

You listed some good ones. Brad Pitt is really good too. Leonardo DiCaprio is good as well.
But the best ever has to be Danny Trejo. I'm only kind of joking.

Tell me about it, he is such a top actor. I especially love his role in the Pirates of the Caribbeans. The way he played his character was absolute class.

I was just rewatching Escape From New York last night, which is like... Kurt Russel in all his eyepatchy Snake glory. Is it just me or did they totally base Solid Snake off of him in that movie?
Re: Eliza Dushku -- oh man, yes. She is a fantastic actress, and incredibly hot (what? XD I can appreciate it. >_>) I can't wait for Whedon's new Dollhouse project that's starring her. It's hard to tell what it's going to be like, but the concept's kinda cool.
And okay, maybe you're only listing younger actors or something guys, but how could you leave out Sir Ian? And Patrick Stewart... I can't really think of Ian McKellan now without thinking Stewart. Damn you, X-Men. :DD

I love escape from new york and its so mgs. Dollhouse looks amazing probally wont get past 1 season though like firefly. No one give him a chance after Buffy and Angel they want him to make an instant success like them.

Well, it is Fox again, so who knows. But I think as long as it doesn't schedule it for Friday night again, like they did with Firefly, Dollhouse stands a chance. It'll be up to us, though. Fans are way more important than they realize, particularly if they spread the news. So make all your friends watch, definitely.
Also... your sig says "Bloody buisness." Is that typo on purpose? XD

Good! And if you want to be really hardcore, once it's on, send letters to Fox begging them to keep it. It works. Look at Jericho. If that can stay on the air (briefly), any Joss Whedon show can stay on the air, with enough fans.

Men
Jack Nicholson : Great intensity, evil smirk
Anthony Hopkins : Very versatile, can play anything but excels with evil characters
Tim Robbins : Very intense also, can deliver every part just right.
Clint Eastwood : Best stare ever filmed, also a kick *** director.
Kang Ho Song : South Korean actor, greatest unknown talent in the world in my opinion. He played in J.S.A. , Memories of Murder and The Host, to name a few. Awesome talent.
Steve Buchemi : This guy is awesome with dialogues and monologues in movies.
Bruce Campbell : Best B movie actor ever, lots of charisma.
Jack Black : I love his enthousiasm, also a great musician and singer
Christian Bale : Takes his work really seriously, very intense actor also.
Keifer Sutherland : Jack Bauer. 'nuff said.
Woman :
Salma Hayek : Very versatile actress and sexy beyond comprehension.
Jodie Foster : Pure talent, great performance every time.
Sigourney Weaver : Unique intensity, can be very badass.
Meg Ryan : Very cute and honest, it looks very easy to fall in love with her.
Uma Thurman : She can do it all, from the hot seductress to the cold blood killer.

Is he playing the Joker? in the the dark night.
Yes he is, it will be interesting to see his take on the character. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that will compare it with Jack Nicholsons version who played the Joker flawlessly...

There is no perfect ultimate interpretations of the Joker because the Joker was drawn in many different ways in the comics and changed a couple of times. When you say Nicholson played it flawlessly, you're right, he was excellent, but that was ONE version of the Joker.
His version ws classy, slick, very gangster style, and crazy, I expect Ledger's Joker to be grittier, less classy and more psycho.

I don't expect Ledger's Joker will be anything like Nicholson's, except in that they're both inspired by the original character. For one thing, Nicholson's Joker was in a whole different sort of movie, with very different direction and feel -- there was, I think, a lot more funny about Nicholson's Joker than there will be with Ledger's. Even just going by Ledger's makeup, and the few bits of leaked trailer floating around, his character will be darker, creepier, more manic and less predictable (I know, what's less predictable than the Joker? A... scarier Joker?)
I am REALLY looking forward to it. On the edge of my seat.

I agree. Less devil dancing in the moonlight, and more devil hard-shoeing up and down your spine. I am more or less incapable of waiting to see it. I'm not sure when (if ever) I've been more excited to see a performance.

Well I'm hoping that this Joker really tortures Batman mentally, somewhat like in The Killing Joke, hopefully to the point where he is almost at the brink of breaking Batman, that would be good...

But again, if you want to see a great acting performance, Kang Ho-Song (left) delivers an awesome one on this movie : Joint-Security Area. If you like great movies told through flashbacks, this one blows them all away. Plus it speaks about something we dont know about, the DMZ between south and north Korea and how this zone is guarded, and the tension there is between those 2 sides even today.
Epic movie, check it out.
