Predator !! DTS-HD MA

Over the years I've seen Predator almost 20+ times with all different types of surround sound systems and I was very excited in trying my first BD with the new PS3 HDMA firmware update. So yesterday I picked up predator along with AVP2 just to check out the DTS-HDMA on the the PS3 for the first time. All I can say is WOW! The sound is awesome coming through my setup below. You can hear everything in very fine clear detail. The firefight with the cambodians, blains minigun, the explosions, and of course the predator and the wierd creepy noises he makes when hunting the enemy. Although I cannot say the same about the video, it does still bring some very good colors and detail from the original but there are times when there are some very grainy sceens and some look like the original DVD but hey, this is as good as you are going to watch it for now.

I really recommend this movie to check out with the new codec on the PS3. If your not a big Predator\Arnold fan then you might want to pass on this since the PQ is not all that great. But for those Hardcore Predator fans out there, this is one that you definaltely need to check out and experience it in full DTS-HD Master.

Yeah I think it's probably mostly due to the original recordings, especially the night scenes, they must be extra blurry :-p...

I would totally buy this, but I just got it on DVD for the first time a few months ago, so I'll pass :-D

I watched predator on the tv last night and the picture was horrible so this is a definite for me on blu-ray I can hardly wait for it to come out in the uk.

Wait till you hear an actually GOOD DTS:MA recording.. the Predator one is pretty dated and such.

Try Alien VS. Predator Requiem or Die Hard 4, Independence Day, Pan's Labyrinth, etc. Those are kicking!! Oh and Kingdom of Heaven.

The Predator one gets kind of low marks, wait till you hear these.
