I just bought and watched 30 Days of Night on Blu Ray. Good movie. One problem, the screen saver kept coming on and making the screen go dark. If I hit any button on the remote the screen lit back up. I dont know if this is a firmware problem or a movie problem. Anybody else experienced this? BTW before you tell me too I turned off the screen saver after the movie, but I shouldnt be this way. I have a 60 gb if it matters.

I've never had this problem when I used the screen saver mode. I don't use it anymore so I don't know if anything has changed through firmware updates or anything, but it definitely shouldn't be doing that.

I personally have not encountered this issue while having the screensaver on.

It has never done it on any other blu ray that I have, but this is the first time I have watched a blu ray on fw 2.2. I have about 10 other blu rays and have never seen this before 30 days of night.

If I understood you correctly, If the movie was paused than it is something the PS3 & possibly 360 do automatically, I think it is to prevent burn in, I noticed my Ps3 does it after a while of being paused

sounds like you need to re-install everything from scratch? lol.. it's gotta be a software thing...
Did you try rebooting the PS3 and all that?
