Hi there, my system is currently a high-end Mission setup with a powerful MJ Acoustics Subwoofer (awesome btw). My Amplifier is currently a cheap 7.1 Yamaha DSP-759SE, in fact my cables cost more than this amplifier lol... However, I want to be able to utilise DTS-MA bitstream and 7.1 LPCM via HDMI. Therein lies the question:

Has anyone got, or can suggest, an amplifier capable of 7.1 LPCM via HDMI, 7.1 Analogue input, HDMI 1.3a sockets, DTS-MA, DTS-HRA, DDTHD decoding? If so, please share what you have and your impression of it. My budget is variable, but it would be nice to stick below 1k.

My favourite brands in seperates are Denon, Yamaha and Onkyo. Used to have a Harman/Kardon setup but they have dropped off the planet over the last decade in terms of high-specced kit (AVR7500 was a beast :)).

Seems a good fit is the Yamaha RX-V1800. It has everything I mentioned except with 6.1 analogue input, and can be found for £995 online.

Open to other ideas :)

Woah dude..... two things first

1. do not double post
2. there are topics (stickied ones) for this exact question.

Check out the Denon 2808, Yamaha 1800 or the Onkyo 705 or 805 for lower mid-range stuff.

If you want bitstream decoding abilities then I assume you are wanting to use something other than the PS3 for Blu-ray?

My apologies, I didn't realise by the topic name on the sticky (just seen it now).

I need an amplifier capable of DTS-MA because I need the ability to use a standalone Blu-Ray player whenever I get one. Thanks for the suggestions, I will have a looksie at those models on my next trip to the city :)

Edit:
IAWO - I really am sorry, I won't be repeating the mistake.
