I'm pretty confident this is going to be my favorite cartoon mini-series (That's what 6-10 episode things are called right?)

Looks pretty badass.

There are 6 short stories, each showing a different animator/direcotr and story. But all together they are tying together between Batman Begins and the Dark Knights. This is what happens between the two movies.

Heres some cool pics.

Actually, I didn't like the look of 5 of the 6 Batmans, but the stories all seemed fine.

It's like picking the wrong actor - it can ruin the whole story, and that was the case here.

I saw the special sneak peek on the justice league new frontier dvd, and they went into all detail about it and then they showed it. I cant beleive they are leting anime ruin american comics, there is a reason why they are separate and there is a reason why both have their own fanbases.

I dont hate anime but man im the biggest batmanfanboy around and i hated how this one looked. The story and such sounds interesting, i might rent it, but i wont be buying it mainly because the last thing i want to see is more comics turn anime. I rather see older style artists that did the justice league new frontier do it, doing something like that looks so much better and takes so much hard work.

im not bashing anime at all, i jsut dont like it.

They mostly made it in Anime because it applies to teenagers and young adults. Whereas is they would have made into a cartoon. People would have thought it was for children. I'd don't mind it being done into an anime, because each director is bringing his own adaption of Bruce Wayne's personality in each segment. And i wouldn't say they are ruining American comics if you have not seen it. If you want to say MOVIEs are ruining american comics then I might agree. Batman Forever and Batman & Robin come to mind.

We both just said our opinions and thats that.

I didnt know what pessimist meant so i looked it up.
a person who habitually sees or anticipates the worst or is disposed to be gloomy.

I lol'ed at this. I never liked these American superheroes and I doubt that Batman drawn psuedo-anime style will sway my opinions. It looks like they refused to let Batman look how the Japanese wanted him to, but they let them do whatever they wanted for the background characters.

The title initially made me grit my teeth....anime and batman fusing? Errrrr.....

But that looks fuggin epic. Batman seems to be in good hands afterall, my worry was that he would be tarnished somehow.

The only thing is they did superman doomsday aimed at a mature audience and it worked well. Why change it? Im more mature than kids and i rather watch this in cartoon than anime, so its not really aimed towards me....

Also i havent seen this but i have seen anime, and i have seen differnt american comics tried in anime, and it sucked in my opinion. I went to cons and everything and i didnt like one of them that was in anime.

Im sorry if it sounds like im bashing anime and im not, but there is a reason why some of us like american comics and others like anime. When you go and collide the two you get one side angry while the other side is happy, it wasnt very smart. What they are trying to do is get anime bigger in america and i dont want that happening, i prefer the american style as i have more respect for it. Thats just me, probably because i make cartoons and comics, and when i finally get into that caareer i dont want to be making anime.

The only problem i have is how THE batman animated series, the newest one, was in a differnt style and everyone bashed it. Batman beyond was a kiddy batman and everyone bashed it. Yet they continue to try and change batman. It aint going to work, alot of people and fans of batman are not going to buy this movie, and anime is not going to become the american standard. Leave it to the right people and stay in your own area. Thats all i got to say, and thats coming from talking with fans like myself on forums and in person.

I might rent this and if its anything like those pictures i wont be buying it. I will just go see the real movie a few times. All it is anyways is to explain the time period for the ewfilm, since i already read te comics i dont need it. It doesnt offer anything else to me like justice league and superman animated movies did. Im a die hard batman fan too, have like a million of just baman comics, and this really made me mad.

See I have no experience with anime/comic mash ups. But by the look so this anime I know it is going to be great. We have very talented script writers and directs. Plus Christian Bale is still going to be doing the voices of all the batmans. I know some of the models do not look pleasing to the eye, but im sure if you give it a try you will like it. I know you want people to stay in their own area but you can't advance well by not experimenting, if it doesn't work then it will never be attempted ever again. On a side note I completly agree with you about the animated series of batman. I grew up on that show, and it was the best cartoon I have ever witnessed and nothing has come out to match it.

But too many parents complained about it being too dark, as they complained about Burton's batman adaption being too dark. And they tried to liven it up by making them more childish and look what happened to the movies they were absolute garbage as is such with the other batman cartoons. Look where we are now full circle back to a dark batman. What people don't realize is batman's very nature is dark he wanted to be a superhero threw vengeance. By the judging the comics by the look and feel I am no surprised at how dark they, they look amazing.

And I am sorry but you are complaining right now about anime being too big? You should have done this years ago with Pokemon, Yugioh etc. Anime is nothing new it has been around since the 60's and has always been relatively large in America. I just hope you atleast try this movie and realize that it is very well made.

PS. What see is happening is Warner Bros has a large and succesful franchise. And they are copying what they did with the animatrix which was a huge smash.

They actuelly made a batman movie that was too dark based off of the batman series, WB edited it then released it. Then a year later released the un edited version. In my opinion those fake parents need to stay away from good animations.

Im not complaining about them being too big. Infact its so big that certain adaptations are worth watching, like appleseed which is criticised by anime fans. I just dont want them invading my space thats all.

See i like some anime but for some reason the one i like is also liked by other comic book fans but hated by actuel anime fans. Thats why im not too excited that this one is done by "anime's best" because that means i probably wont like it. Like i said ill give it a try, if it turns out to actuelly not be complete rubish in my mind then ill by it and say good move WB, but if it is what i think then it goes back to blockbuster and i move on with life disapointed that my T rated batman movie isnt coming.
