So since Tuffy is perma pwned/owned/banned (and all other variants) I have some suggestions to steer this place back into shape. Since he's gone we can have a new regime.

1) I suggest a manga spotlight thread bi-weekly or weekly.

I can do this for about 3 weeks, but I can't do it all the time.

2) Move this section to general chat area.

3) A manga suggestion threads for noobs.

4) A thread for discussion of the classics maybe?

5) Choose a new anime council head or maybe abolish it?

Was thinking the same things mate, i said in the Anime Council thread i wouldn't mind taking over, of course it won't be an "Anime Council" kind of thing it will be different, better. Make something completely different and delete the old thread, a place were everyone can hang out and talk about the subject.

I agree with some of your suggestions though, it hopefully should be moved to the general section.

In all seriousness, I want to make an anime council that isn't just there to discuss anime but introduce new people to it. General Chit chat is perfect for that.

You can't generalise it like that. It's like saying I hate movies....If you catch my drift. There are different genres of anime etc...

Trust me give some of them a chance and I'm sure you'd like it. If you're looking for deep psychological one, try Monster. For a classic try Akira.

There are a lot of anime to choose acording to age. Bleach for at least 13+ a lot of blood. For 13 and under... I would probally recomend, Ah my goddess, sailor moon, card captor sakura, eyeshield 21, prince of tennis. Also for the 13+ blue seed, evangelion (maybe to bloody), Full metal, naruto (I only read the manga now). For the 17+ age group... Golden boy (I love this one :P), Gantz, Battle royal and a few more I cannot think of off the top of my head.

I watch mostly all new anime that has not been released yet.

Example... Rosario Vampire, True tears, and one other I cannot think of... (I am at work)
