What's FP and what are verticles?

Are verticles like Polygons and I really don't know what FP is.

never heard of an FP but a vertice(not a verticle) are the endpoint of of a polygons side the "Corners". They also decide the placement of textures on the UV data nodes(in maya im not sure about max).

Do you mean FPS? In which case the meaning is Frames per second, this number means in 1 full second (say the "FPS" is 30) the screen shows another frame (still image) 30 times.
