Basically here it is. I am looking to add about another 1 or 2 people to the new Design Squad so we'll have about 5-6. I will look for clean and crisp work that follows the requirments. Some basic requirments that I ask, if you do become a member, are that you are online anywhere from 3-5 days a week, you have some kinda of Photoshop program, and maybe having expeirence in graphic design would help as well. You may submit as many entries as you want and the team and I will judge which ones we find to be the best.

Contest Start Now!!!

What I am looking for:

1. 1 Signature and avatar that has to do with Sony and games (ex:PSP, PS2, PS3)

2. 1 Signature and avatar that has to do with Microsoft and games

3. 1 Signature and avatar that has to do with Nintendo and games

Rules: Basically the same rules as the last contests....no distasteful language, nudity, ect.

Avatars are 100x100 pixels and 20kb max.

Signatures are 480x80 pixels and 28kb max.

Good Idea. Good to see some fresh blood in the organisation haha.
Would maybe be a good Idea to have them all design a set (Sig + Av) + A background. Or maybe give them 2 or 3 stock images and they have to modify it and the best modified wins.

The Judges will be the current design team?

Make sure that you follow the sig and avatar rules of the website too..

Avatars are 100x100 pixels and 20kb max.

Signatures are 480x80 pixels and 28kb max.

Does the Microsoft one have to be directly microsoft game related ie. xbox and halo because they are microsoft game studios. Or can it be Microsoft as a company as well as games that are from other developers that are exclusive to the system?

The same goes for Sony, can we also put their electronic products and 3rd party developer console specific games on the sig?

Also when does the contest end?

OK....you need to have a sig and avatar for each
As for Microsoft and Sony.....yes it needs to be game related or console related sigs and avatars. Basically things you would have to be making if you were on the design Squad...

The Contest Ends some time next week. I will post that later. Just know that you have about a week.

why don't you just put up three or four totally radom pictures and see how people incorperate them into signatures. It would allow you to the see the creativity and talent in people, rather than the same boring monotonous garbage

actually what i was talking about was taking say an image of a landscape, a portrait, and maybe something abstract. all completely unrelated and nothing to do with signatures and see how people use them to make a sig. This would also weed out all the people who try to steal someone else's art (if there is anyone).

It would be funny if people started making parody sigs out of games that are exclusives to specific game consoles.

Come on guys we all know you like contests, well you enter my other ones! lets start entering here after all you dont just get a icon for winning you get to be part of a expert group of designers. show them what all you have and post it!

Ok...fine....you want to doa Photo manipulation Contest. I will make a new thread that will be made into a Contest and the winner will also be allowed into the team. But that means that I will only pick 1 winner from each. This contest however is still going to go on for all of those who would rather work on making sigs and avatars....

So....if you want to do a photo editing contest.....done. For everyone else...post your work here.

I dont really like the Microsoft ones, I mean they look great, but there really bland in terms of unique ness. Everybody has a signature like this (the background, 1 dude on each side, and game footage in the background. I tried to go a little more creative in the other two. The MS is alot less orignial, but alot more popular im sure.

Sadly I do not think I'll win because of the creativity department, you can tell if a signature is mine or not. I feel if the technique is ok, and the results are fine, then its a good way to make a avatar and sig.

very simple but nice. Did you make the background for the Sony and MS ones? jw.

I like the use of the filter on samus for the background of the Nintendo one, its nifty.

I haven't forgot about you guys....my life has just been hectic the past week. I haven't had much time for ps3forums or anything for that matter. I am failing college right now because I spent too much time on these forums and other web activites. Na, I will be online a lt more now, there were just some things I had to take care of first. Also, past few days have been Valentines for me...
