What is Anime ?
Anime are animation originated from Japan. The word of "Anime" is a short term of "animation" word, since Japanese pronounce animation into animeshion [ animetion ] so it is then called as Anime and not as Anima. Anime used as brands for Asians [ Japanese, Korean and Chinese ] animation because there is still no country outside of Asia who ever made even 1 Anime up to this day.
Anime invented by Japanese as well as with the invention of animation before the year of 1900's or before Japan entering the era of telecommunication or long before television introduced to the world. But you will find many non Asian peoples out there who will claim they or their peoples are the inventor of animation while the fact proves they are just lying. Not only because they can't make even 1 Anime up to this day and only able to make Cartoon, many of them even hiring Asians to make animation for them. Here are some of them :

There are many peoples who said Anime are Cartoon, Anime technically Cartoon or Anime in definition are Cartoon. What they said are wrong because :
- Anime are not Cartoon -
Anime and Cartoon have deferent quality, Anime have much more more higher quality that you can see it at how Anime look more realistic than Cartoon as proof that Anime have much more higher quality. So Anime are not Cartoon or Anime not = Cartoon because Anime and Cartoon not having the same quality. Saying Anime are Cartoon or Anime = Cartoon are the same like saying hotel are house or hotel = house, both hotel and house may have the same definition as living places but both of it are deferent. Anime and Cartoon both of it may have the same definition as animation forms but are not the same.
- Anime are not technically Cartoon -
Anime using much much more higher technique or skill to make and again you can see it at how Anime look more realistic than Cartoon as the proof. So Anime are not technically Cartoon because Anime and Cartoon not having the same technique or skill on how to make an Anime and on how to make a Cartoon.
- Anime in definition are not Cartoon -
In definition Anime and Cartoon are animation forms just like the other animation forms such as Claymation, CG and FMV. So Anime in definition are not Cartoon because the definition of Anime and Cartoon are animation forms.
So by keep saying Anime = Cartoon, Anime technically Cartoon or Anime in definition are Cartoon are just ignorant. Even so, there will always those who will keep trying to associate Anime with Cartoon by keep saying Anime = Cartoon, Anime technically Cartoon or Anime in definition are Cartoon because they are hoping they will get benefits from Anime superiority while they can't make even 1 Anime up to this day. They will also go as far as to say Anime technique are copying Cartoon or Anime exist because of Cartoon.
When they try to associate Anime with Cartoon such as by saying Anime = Cartoon, Anime technically Cartoon or Anime in definition are Cartoon then they have giving Anime with bad reputation because Anime are more realistic and deep also most Anime are for teenagers and adults unlike Cartoon who are very less realistic and deep also almost all Cartoon are for babies and kids. It is very ironic because they are trying to gain profit by spreading lies to make peoples think Anime having the same low quality as Cartoon. It is just the same like they are trying to get profit by making other peoples look bad and not trying to get it from their own capability by making Anime, well they can't make even 1 Anime up to this day and even have to hire the peoples they are trying to make look bad to make their own Cartoon for them.
More about Anime
Anime also known as realistic animation because of the realistic and more detailed characters, environment, scenery, scenes and story of the Anime it self compared to any other animation form such as Cartoon. You can just simply call Anime as realistic animation because of that reason.
Anime characters :
- Eyes -
Anime character's eyes are resembling or look like what human's eyes are. The Anime character's eyes attitude will change depending on the mood of the Anime characters have such as when crying the Anime character's eyes will glowing and tears will shed down from their eyes just like what human's eyes are when a human are crying.
You may have wondered as to why there are many Anime characters who have big eyes while there are also many Anime characters who are not, also why the Anime characters who have big eyes are mostly female Anime characters, plus why in 3D Anime you can't find any Anime characters who have big eyes. The reason for the big eyes you see in many Anime's characters who mostly female Anime characters are no other than to make the Anime character looks more cute and adorable, it is one of the Anime animation technique used to make an Anime character to looks more cute and adorable. For the reason why there are no Anime characters who have big eyes in 3D Anime is no other than because 3D Anime are using real model [ human ] as the Anime 3D character's model., so there is no need to use the "big eyes" technique to make 3D Anime characters looks cute and adorable since the real model already cute and adorable themselves.
- Face expression -
You will see many face expressions from one Anime character have when you watch an Anime, such as cute, embarrassed, shy, sad, happy, angry, laughing, scared, shocked or many other human's face expressions.
- Body Shape -
Anime characters body form or body shape are more detailed that will make you see what we explain earlier about Anime superiority towards any other animation form are based on fact. Anime characters body form or shape are resembling what a human body or shape looks like, from hair to their finger foot. There is even what known as Hentai [ Blue Anime ] that are made only for adults and the reason is because of the realisticness of the Anime characters body.
- Movement and attitude -
The movement and attitude of Anime character also the same, they resembling what a human's movement and attitude are. How they walk, run, dance, opening something, eating, drinking, etc.
Anime environment and scenery :
You shall see the environment such as building, house, city, planet, universe and any other environments in Anime were created into a far more more realistic one compared to any other animation form such as Cartoon. The same with the scenery such as weather scenery like snow, trees breeze, sea, rain, lighting, morning, noon, night and any other scenery in Anime are made into a far more more realistic scenery.

Fighting, war, sad, happy, party, magic cast and all other scenes on Anime are very intense on details and realisticness as well.
Anime story :
Anime story involves around fantasy, romance, humour and Japanese tradition or culture. Compared to Cartoon, Anime story are very deep that will mostly brought the audience into the story of the Anime itself. Anime are mostly not for those who are under the age of 13 years old, not only because of the depth of the Anime story but also because of the realisticness of the Anime itself. You will mostly become happy, sad, exited, shocked, even fall in love towards the Anime characters and any other feelings you can feel when you watch an Anime because of the depth of the Anime story and the realisticness of the Anime when you watch an Anime.
Manga & Cosplay
Manga
Manga are graphic novels originated from Japan, Manga are not the same as Comic and the reason is the same with Anime and Cartoon who are not the same on quality, definition and technique. Manga have the same realistic quality as Anime but there is one big deference between Anime and Manga, Manga are static that you can only see in book form or digital book form known as Manga scan while Anime are dynamic that you can watch on television or any other screening media form. Just like Hentai [ Blue Anime ] there is also what known as Doujinshi [ Blue Manga ] that are made only for adults too, the same reason with Hentai Doujinshi are also made because of the realisticness of the Manga characters have.
Cosplay
From hundreds thousand fans of Anime out there, many of them are into cosplay or costume play, cosplaying means mimicking or dressing yourself into the character you want to be. Cosplaying can be used to see how popular and realistic an entertainment form [ animation, video games, movie, etc ] really are for the audience of those entertainment. Because those who cosplaying themselves or making themselves to be what they see are those who have a very deep feeling towards what they are cosplaying into. So the more cosplayers an entertainment form [ animation, movie, video games, etc ] have then that means the more popular or the more fans that entertainment got.
