this one was really hard to judge and alot more entrys. a awsome job from everyone it was hard to cut down the nominees. keep up the good work you never know when another might come by.


as for voting vote the number of nominee given that you want to win, one vote per user. the one with the most votes will get a icon of choice, i dont have enough points for three so only first place, unless someone wants to jump in and donate icons.

alright thought a contest could be fun for the forums again, just a simple one for now, but you never know who is watching or what can happen.the contest is posting you home made ps3 boxart covers. read rules first please.

BREAKING ANY RULES WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION, AND SOME CASES BAN FROM SITE.

PROCESS
*users create and post pics
*judges go through rounds coming to the finals
*users can then poll the winner
*and finally the winner is given his or her choice of any icon in the shop. like said this is just going to start it. remember this time around there is only a first place winner for a prize, unless i come up with alot more points.

Well, it just seems necessary to use the blu-ray case, but I could change it. I thought that it was pertaining to concept art, other people ideas, and stuff like that, I didn't think it meant that you can't use cases as a template.

Part of the contest is how cool you make the PS3 box itself. The Blu-Ray case was a great idea, don't get me wrong, but you'd probably score more points with a self created box.

Hey, thanks Skribble for lending out the display cases for people to use for making their box art. It really helps and is a good way to get the idea across. You are doing fantastic! I think that if people want they should use the layout that you used using the display case and then pasting their work on them. Make it much easier and it looks better than just plain 2d.

Actually No-Use4name if you'll look properly I totally remade the cover, I made a different sky, I blended in a face, I found a concept sketch of the new Helghast and made an army of them, look closely they are different, I recut the 16+ and found a better quality SCE logo, I even remade the text. However I did follow the layout/design because it works.
I didn't actually use any elements of the original cover, I remade it all... so you know.

And I used the DVD case because as I said, it's fine for you to use that if you want...

No probs NoUse4name, I do want everyone to know that though, there is actually alot of work gone into, even if the layout is similar, it looked good so I used it.

That Devil May Cry case is really good merc. I would like to see some more work on the red background, some grunge brushing around the edges or something, for the sake of making it look more DMCish. Otherwise I like the way Dante stands out, I can't wait for this game.

We just don't want you to use any of your previous box-art...you know that topic?


We just want people to do some different stuff, but yes feel free to use the same game...just be sure to make it different looking.

Yes Skribble did a very good job with his design. He is part of the Design Team, of course his work looks outstanding...lol, but dont let it keep you from submitting your own box art. Just work hard at it and let the judges decide which is best and goes up for being a finalist.

I think it's obvious less effort went into this one than any of the others, Killzone had heaps of effort, MGS was less time spent but still some effort, this one is just cause I want another in the competition before the end, meh... it's rushed but turned out ok.

I think what makes Skribble's stand out the most is having the back of the box as well and having all that info and barcode on it. It gives it that extra spice that makes the whole piece come together. Also having the reflection gives it more of a 3d look. GREAT JOB Skribble!!! Your designs for box art and sigs are looking incredible. Really making our Design Team look good...lol.... :P

Firefox, I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS... 1 of them I created the box just with a black shape etc. then distorted the cover onto it, if you look at the top of Pg2 you'll see the boxes I've been using and given to other people to use.

Haha, no, we Canadians have the same ESRB rating system as America, I'm pretty sure that 16+ is European.

Yep, its the Pan-European Game Information (PEGI) age rating system. I think its also used in Australia and a few other countries outside of europe.
